After School Program

Monday-Friday, after school - 6pm

The After School Program is a drop-in supplemental education and recreation program available to children in grades k-6.

Bus transportation is provided to the Club each day from the Charter School, Oak Bluffs School, Tisbury School, and West Tisbury School. The Club staff meets kids in grades K-2 at the Edgartown School and walks them to the Club.

School Vacation Hours:

Open: April Vacation: Tuesday-Friday 9am-5pm

Closed: Thanksgiving Break, December Vacation, February Vacation

School Closings:

The Club will be closed on all holidays and other days in which school is also closed, and on all instances when school is released early, or after school activities are canceled, by the Superintendent of Schools due to weather or safety other reasons.

What do kids do at the After School Program?

Kids have the choice of daily activities in all of our facilities areas:

Gymnasium: Sports & Fitness Activities

Technology Center: Homework Help, Computer Learning, Video Games, Movies, Legos, Digital Arts & Group Activities

Art Studio: Professional Instruction, Expression & Creativity

Gamesroom: Tournaments, Billiards, Ping-Pong, Bumper Pool, Carpet Ball, Foosball, Board Games & Dancing

PowerHour: Homework Club (Monday-Thursday, after school - 4pm)

SMART Moves: Skills Mastery And Resistance Training (coming soon)

Torch Club: 5th-8th Grade Peer Leadership & Service Club (Wednesday 4-5pm)

At Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club Summer Camp your kids will:

Samuel D. Leighton Memorial Basketball  

1^st-2^nd Grade Boys & Girls Biddyball (click here to register online)

-Biddyball is an introductory, instructional basketball program.

-Biddyball will meet once a week on Fridays from 4:30-6pm starting 2/1/13.

-There will be no Biddyball on 2/22/13 or 3/1/13 because of Winter School Vacation

-Biddyball will end on Friday 3/29/13.

-Each player will receive a Shirt.

-Biddyball is FREE

-Registration is limited to 64

3^rd-4^th Grade Boys & Girls Recreation Basketball League (click here to register online)

-Each team will have 1 practice a week on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from 5-6pm.

-Games will begin on Thursday 12/6/12 at 5pm with a Preseason Round Robin.

-Each team will then play a 5 game schedule, with one game a week on Thursdays at 5, 6, or 7pm (12/13/12-1/17/13).

-There will be no practices or games during December School Vacation (12/22/12-1/1/13).

-The season will end with a Round Robin and Pizza Party on Thursday 1/24/13 starting at 4pm.

-Each player will receive a Team Shirt.

-Fees: $50 / $25 for siblings playing in either league (all players must also have a current MV Boys & Girls Club Membership (9/1/12-8/31/13): $20)

-Registration is limited to 60 participants

5^th-6^th Grade Boys & Girls Recreation Basketball League (click here to register online)

-Each team will have 1 practice a week on either Monday or Tuesday from 5-6pm.

-Games will begin on Thursday 2/7/13 at 4:30pm with a Preseason Round Robin.

-Each team will then play a 5 game schedule, with one game a week on Thursdays at 5 or 6pm (2/14/13-3/21/13).

-The season will end with a Round Robin and Pizza Party on Thursday 3/28/13 starting at 4pm.

-Each player will receive a Team Shirt.

-Fees: $50 / $25 for siblings playing in either league (all players must also have a current MV Boys & Girls Club Membership (9/1/12-8/31/13): $20)

-Registration is limited to 60 participants
