Chris Roberts
Interim CEO, Program Director

Chris joined the Club as Program Director in May 2018, but he was a volunteer for several years before then as a basketball coach.  He enjoys being part of the Club because he finds nothing more inspiring than watching a kid work hard and achieve what they have been working for.  Chris grew up as part of a military family and has traveled throughout Europe and lived in many states.  He graduated from Hayfield High School in Alexandria, Virginia, earned a BFA in Theatre from Southern Methodist University and an MFA from Columbia University.  Chris enjoyed all sports as a kid and played basketball and football in high school.  He also loves theatre and has been fortunate to work professionally in the theater with some amazing artists, many of whom live and work regularly on the Vineyard. His hobbies now revolve around whatever his children are interested in.  In addition to the MVBGC Chris has been active in the Island community and was on the Board of Directors for MV Little League for 6 years (President, Vice President, Secretary), and coached Island youth in Baseball, Basketball, Flag Football and Soccer.  He and his wife Elle Lash moved to the Vineyard in 2007 and live in West Tisbury with their son Tobey and daughter Carlotta.

Stacey Smith
Unit Director

Stacey began working at the Club as Office Manager in September 2017 and in 2019 was named Interim Manager of the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club Second Hand Store.  She grew up on Martha's Vineyard and except for a few years away has lived here full time. She graduated from MVRHS and attended classes at Cape Cod Community College.  During her time on the Island Stacey worked as an EMT, a Certified Pharmacy Tech and a CNA at Windmere. She is deeply committed to the community and assisting the elderly and Island youth.  Working at the Club allows her to make a positive impact on the lives of the children in the community and she believes they are the future of the Island.  She is the proud mother of twin daughters, Anabelle and Maddison.

Meghan Burke
Office Manager

Meghan joined the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls club in June 2019. Working with the Island youth has been an exciting change of pace after working 9 years at Windemere as a care taker and rehab aide. Outside of the Club she enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris and two children, Jamison and Alexandra walking trails, relaxing on the beach, painting, and snuggling with her pets.
