We are so glad you are interested in signing up for programming at Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club! Our Club may look a little different this year, but our commitment to you and your children remains the same. This summer, we served members in our full day Summer Camp using social distancing and other COVID-19 safety protocols, and we are happy to report there were no COVID-19 cases at our Club.  We are proud that we did our part, and will continue to do our part to slow to the spread, while providing children with fun and engaging programs in a safe and nurturing environment. Please know, as we look toward reopening during the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of your kids and our staff is our #1 priority.

To help address the risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented a number of new policies and procedures. We will need your help in following the new policies and procedures, which include expectations of our members and parents.

Reminder – We are currently offering free programming to all Island youth until June 2021

REMOTE LEARNING PROGRAM

Enroll your child in our new Remote Learning Program! This program was designed to help families, working parents & guardians who find it challenging to support their child’s remote and virtual learning needs. Our unique environment provides children grades K-8 assistance with accessing their remote learning AND providing opportunities for socialization and interaction with peers and mentors in the safest ways we know how.

This program is first come, first serve and space is limited. All those who apply will be notified by email if they were accepted or put on a wait list.

Although school programs across the country will look different this year, the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club is here to do whatever it takes to ensure your children have access to resources and opportunities to help them stay on a path towards a great future.

Reminder, there is no true substitute for in-person classroom learning, and our staff is here to help facilitate communication with teachers as needed.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

At the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club, we provide our members with a safe place to spend time during non-school hours as an alternative to the streets or being home alone. Our members have the chance to play, have fun, laugh, and learn. We provide them with opportunities to build new skills that raise each child’s belief that he or she can succeed and receive recognition for personal accomplishments. We foster ongoing relationships with caring adults & connections to new friends in a positive environment reinforcing a sense of belonging, personal accountability, civility, and civic responsibility. We strive to bring generation-changing programs that support a commitment to learning, positive values, healthy habits & high expectations for success as an adult.

Members will enjoy games, crafts, outdoor time, and socially distant sports activities. Staff will also provide support to children who many need to finish school work.

This program is first come, first serve and space is limited. All those who apply will be notified by email if they were accepted or put on a wait list.

CLUB SAFETY PROTOCOLS

To slow the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the potential risk of exposure to our staff, members, their families, and the community, the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club has implemented safety protocols and procedures.
